[Entity Management](https://help.traact.com/modules?hsLang=en#entity-management) # Custom Fields in Entity Management ## Having custom fields for an entity enhances flexibility by allowing you to track any desired information. Note that once a custom field is created, it will automatically reflect in all entities. To add custom fields to an entity, please follow the steps outlined below: ### **How to Add and Edit Custom Fields to an Entity?** **Step 1:** On the main entity page, select an entity; ​**Step 2:** After selecting the entity, navigate to the "Custom Fields" tab and click the edit icon; ![](https://help.traact.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Oct-09-2026-07-11-36-4803-PM.png?width=2048&height=992&name=undefined-Oct-09-2026-07-11-36-4803-PM.png) **Step 3:** Create your desired custom fields by adding new fields and renaming them as needed. Please note that you can also add rules to the text fields, such as making it a mandatory field.
