Get Started: Setting Up Your Notifications
To take advantage of this new flow, you need to ensure your "digital doors" are open. Follow these quick steps:
Step 1: Log in to your Traact worksapce and navigate to the Settings page.
Step 2: Locate the Notification Preferences.
Step 3: On the bottom of the page, ensure that Entity Management Notifications are toggled ON.
Step 4: You must add the recipients before clicking to Save the changes on the notifications.
Step 5: Double-check that your preferred Email Address is added.
Step 6: Once the "Due Soon" notification hits your inbox, answer the mandatory questions and just like that, you are done - Traact will take it from here!
Pro Tip: We recommend adding a secondary "Compliance" or "Legal" email alias if your team has one, ensuring that these critical alerts are always seen.
⚠️ Important: Filing Auto-Safety
To protect your entity’s status, Traact will initiate your filing 20 days prior to the state deadline. If we have not received updated answers from you by this time, we may proceed using your information from the previous year when possible. This ensures you never risk late fees or administrative dissolution.
What is an Annual Report (and why does it matter?)
Most states require businesses to file an Annual Report (sometimes called a Biennial Report or Periodic Report). This filing keeps the state updated on your primary business address, purpose of the business, current list of Officers and Directors and other information.
The Risk: If you miss this filing, the state can impose heavy late fees, or worse, administratively dissolve your company, effectively stripping your right to do business in that state.
