July 2025: License Management Update

Some major updates are coming to the License Module and these changes may impact your everyday workflow if you manage your Licenses and Permits on the Traact platform.


What’s Changing?

1. License Statuses, Your Way

“Active” and “Expired” are fine… but wouldn’t it be nice if your license could be “In Force 💪” instead of "Active"? Or maybe just “Discontinued” instead of “Expired”?


In this update you can customize your license statuses to match your team’s language (or vibe). Whether it’s “Current,” “Live,” or “Under Consideration 💭” — it’s your call.

Pro Tip: Yes, emoji's are an option. We checked. 👀


2. Status Triggers That Make Sense (To You)

You’ll also be able to set up your own logic for when a status should change.


Example: “If the Effective Date is On or After the Submission Date, change the status to "Active / Good Standing"


Boom💥. The system listens, adapts, and updates. No more status guesswork.

⚠️ Heads-Up: When this goes live on 🗓️ Tuesday, July, 29th, all license statuses will default to our new system presets shown below. You can hop in afterward and reconfigure them to whatever suits you best.


3. Filters That Behave

We gave our filtering system a glow-up, too. You can now:

  • Filter by any field — even your custom ones

  • Easily see which filters are applied (🙏)

  • Remove one, some, or all with a click

  • Add new ones like a filtering wizard 🧙
