The latest License enhancements were designed to display essential License details more prominently and add functionality to help users remember important dates and tasks related to Licenses.

FAQs

Q: What is changing in the License Revamp?

A: Licenses are now independent and no longer fall under a specific matter category. Consequently, you can create tasks linked to a license and add subtasks to the primary task as needed.

Q: Will my current License information be available in the new Revamp?

A: Yes, all current license information will be available in the new revamp.

Q: How can I edit License details?

A: The process for editing license information remains the same. Navigate to the license module and select a license; text fields for license/permit details will be displayed. You can then update information such as important dates, license types, qualified individuals, and more.

Q: Where will the existing tasks associated with a License be listed?

A: There are two ways to access the existing tasks associated with a license:

  1. When selecting a license, you will then find a "Tasks" tab at the top of the screen. By selecting this tab, you can view all associated tasks.

  2. When navigating directly to the "Tasks" tab under the "Matters" section on the left side of your screen. Here, you can utilize filters or the search bar to facilitate your search.

Q: How do the Date Fields in this update affect the License Status?

A: The License Status is determined by the following date fields

Status

Date

In Progress

The submission date is in the future without any other dates.

The effective date is in the future.

Active

The current date is on or after the effective date and before the expiration date.

The current date is on or after the effective date, and there is no expiration date.

Due

The current date is between 90 and 0 days before the expiration date.

The current date is between 90 and 0 days before the renewal date.

Inactive

The current date is after the expiration date.

New

No dates are present.

This ensures that the license status reflects the appropriate lifecycle stage based on the effective, expiration, and renewal dates.
